Gloucester Services Glows with Great Feedback

Gloucester Services Glows with Great Feedback

It’s been two weeks since the opening of a very exciting prospect for motorway travellers on the M5.

May 7th saw the all-new Gloucester Services open its doors to the public. So what, just another service, you may be asking. Well, his services are only one other, nd that is their sister services, owned and run by the same company and family, Tebay Services.

Gloucester Services has been built with the same ethos as Tebay Services in Cumbria, soggy sandwiches and lifeless sausage rolls are completely and utterly eradicated with the structure itself blending in perfectly to the Gloucestershire countryside. But it is inside that really excites, nd the food and beverages that are offered. Fantastic, locally sourced, supplied, or made-in-house food is available 24 hours a day, with even the ice creams and lollies being locally made. So too delightful gifts, kitchenware, and flowers, and again, as local as possible but all British. Most definitely not soggy, the wild boar sausage rolls produced by Cinderhill Farm, Saint Briavels, Gloucestershire.

This special service is first and foremost a service station offering a chance the refuel and rest while travelling along the M5. The services are split into two sections, the Kitchen, where food can be purchased to eat in or take aw, a y and the Farm Shop. The Farm Shop is taking off so much, people are coming to the services purely to purchase produce, with bloggers, celebrities, journalists, and the general public taking to social media to praise this brand new venture. Today, even The One Show, national television from a service station, is unheard of!

As with the Kitchen, it’s all about the local and high-quality produce on offer in this region. From chutneys to bread cakes, meat to pies, and condiments, it is well advised to bring with you or obtain a cooler bag. Buy bread made by Hobbs House Bakery (The Fabulous Baker Brothers), award-winning pies from Lovett Pies of Bath, and Paddock House chutneys of Cirencester.

Going on holiday or one of life’s biggest pleasures and a very precious time to most, with “Service station dread” experienced by most on the journey to and from. If services can be made or more can be opened as Gloucester Services and Tebay, then both the consumer as well as local businesses, producers, and suppliers will benefit and be happy.
